Dear Tropical Families,

I am so excited to be joining the Tropical Family!  This is my 28th year in public education and my 22nd  in Brevard.  I started my career as an instructional assistant, and I have taught all grade levels in elementary school either as a classroom teacher or a STEM teacher.  I served as assistant principal at MILA and Indialantic before coming to Tropical as the principal.

 My husband and I have 4 children together who all graduated from BPS.  We have one son serving in the Navy, 2 sons who graduated from Satellite, and a daughter who graduated from Edgewood Jr/Sr.  I am excited to be back on the island.  My priorities for this year are safety, community and instruction. 

 I am looking forward to meeting the students and their families.  Though I am joining the Tropical Team after the start of the year, I am excited for the year ahead!   Please don’t hesitate to reach out by phone, email, or if you are on campus to say hello and introduce yourself.

Hello, Team Tropical!

I have been in education since 1998, teaching English, ESOL, and Reading. I have taught every grade level from kindergarten to graduate school and have been in leadership for the past five years. I’ve lived all over, as my husband served 23 years in the army. Our family has lived in Florida twice, for a total of nine years.

My husband and I have been married for 25 years, and we have a 14-year-old daughter. In my free time, I love anything outdoors, fitness, dancing, writing, and reading.

I look forward to teaming up with Dr. Marshall and leading Tropical to greatness. Stop by and say hi!
